Gagambang X

When i was young, I was facinated with spiders. I can even remember doing a personal research about the arachnids and kept them as pets just to closely observed their ways.

So far, I have only come across the three species: the "gagambang talon", a 1-cm specie which is commonly found in window panes; the gagambang bahay, a relatively bigger specie which is brown and measures about 5 cm and is commonly found in home storage areas; and the "gagambang kuryente", which has a yellow and black stripe on its body (dont know why it was called such, maybe because it is commonly found in electrical posts near trees).

Some time ago, I came across another specie - the gagambang X. You'll see why it was called such.

Trying to get the auto-focus working... hope she doesn't suddenly decide to shift to jump-and-bite mode as the rumored victim to the bite of this creepy crawler went crazy.

a little more... my apologies, i am only using a 3.2-MP sony ericsson phone cam
there! can you see its back? there seems to be a hard shell protecting its body. the shape of the thorax is also peculiar with all the semi-spikes protruding.
notice the black and white pattern on the head. also, there seemed to be a green mini-arm. and finally, the reason behind the name, the weird pattern on the net

Welcome back

Spent a week in singapore and was amazed of how their entire "system" works. Guess the sight that welcomed me when i came back... it's the Philippine Team

F14 Tomcat Project Phase 1

After my first stint with scaled plastic modelling that resulted to a junk pile -worthy F22 Raptor, I decided to pursue my new found hobby with a new victim, the F14 Tomcat.

The model is a Italeri 1:72 model purchased ages ago when my Raptor is just half-finished.

Hopefully, i get to finish this one with half the time it took me to get my first scale model from the packaging box to a secluded area beside my bookshelf.

I tried to assemble the body using tape and blutac just to see how the model would look (love this part of modelling)
